In March 17, 2008, QLT announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) removed the label restrictions for its acne product, Aczone(TM) (see also News section). Following this announcement, QLT's stock surged by 55%.
Recently, Eli Lilly, Pfizer and Novo Nordisk announced their decisions to discontinue the development of their inhaled insulin products (see also News section). Although Generex's common stock declined just after these decisions were announced, yesterday the company said these news may be positive for the company as they remove potentially competitive products.
